What Are You Grateful For?

Here at the quarters of The Pink Event, things are heating up for The Pink Event® 2014. In fact, we have a lot of exciting announcements that we'll make in the coming weeks. But first up is Thanksgiving, one of our team's favorite holidays.

While perusing my favorite blogs, I saw this adorable couple photo and thought, "oh, another 'marriage rocks' post."
But it was so much more than that. Instead, this post detailed an amazing collection of photos that intimately captures a woman's heroic fight against and death from breast cancer.

Keep Pink Awareness Going After Tomorrow!



Tomorrow marks Halloween and the end of October as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. There have been some interesting efforts to educate women about breast cancer and prevention methods, from a Tweeting bra to the "Pink Out" of The White House. 
Ultimately, a successful awareness month keeps women alert and engaged all year long. Women who conduct monthly breast exams, limit alcohol consumption, up their fruits and veggie intake, exercise regularly and keep their weight within "normal" limits are on a good path.

What About the Children?


In light of some recent events, there is an area that is not focused on. Recently, Adrian Peterson, a Vikings NFL player tragically lost his son to violence. The mother's boyfriend beat the two year old to death. Prior to this incident, the mother reported domestic violence over a period of time... years. 

It is common to find that when communities are being educated on significant issues recognized nationally in October that normally adults are targeted. It is important for adults to be targeted as breast cancer and domestic violence directly effects them. Who else does this directly effect?
