Celebrate Women's History Month by Attending The Pink Event 2016!

Some amazing women in American history!
Today is the start of Women's History Month!!  This national celebration was started in 1981 by Congress with Women's History Week as a way to celebrate great women in American history.

Eventually, amazing women in history got their own month in March! That's why  The Pink Event® 2016 (this Sunday at the BWI Airport Marriott in Linthicum) falls on a Sunday in March.

We believe that our annual women-focused expo should showcase and support female excellence through the mostly women-owned businesses that decide to be exhibitors and provide attendees with great shopping.

We showcase female empowerment through our motivational speakers who will focus on feminine topics that help you live a more prosperous and fulfilling life.

And we highlight women-focused causes (such as breast cancer and domestic violence awareness) by donating 20% of select proceeds to our official charity partners

Take time to learn about great women in American history and be sure to get your ticket now to the ultimate women's day out!

The Pink Event® 2013 Celebrates Women History Month!

Tomorrow marks the first day of March and Women's History Month. This is a great time to learn about women (past and present) who have helped improve quality of life for all of us. In fact, Women's History Month is the reason The Pink Event holds its ultimate girls' day out in March (plus, we all need a fun break from winter blues!).

In honor of this awesome month, we wanted to highlight a few local-area female heroes:

Maimah Karmo, founder of The Pink Event's charity partner Tigerlily Foundation, is an incredible inspiration. She was diagnosed with breast cancer at 32, and has detailed to us the incredible journey she has been on from the disease. Based in Reston, Va., the nonprofit organization is dedicated to educating, advocating for, and providing hands-on services and support to young women (ages 15 to 40) who are affected by breast cancer.

One feature at The Pink Event 2013 (March 10; 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Columbia, Md.) that we think you’ll love is our exclusive book signing for Maimah’s new book, “Fearless: Awakening to My Life’s Purpose through Breast Cancer.”
