For 3 Sisters, Inc., is an organization founded by Maryland firefighter Marshall Moneymaker and his wife, Shannon.
Marshall lost 3 sisters to breast cancer, with the first one passing away in 2008 and the other two sisters in the summer and early fall of 2010.
Overwhelmed by grief and smothered by survivor's guilt, Marshall turned himself around and transformed his tragedy into something amazing.
His vision, which is becoming more of a reality each day, is to create an organization that addresses the needs of breast cancer warriors, from survivors and current patients to their families and friends.
This vision would take on the unmet needs that other organizations weren't handling, such as resources, emotional support, and ready encouragement. Marshall vowed to honor his 3 sisters by helping others impacted by breast cancer and raising awareness throughout the community.
Dress
for Success is an international nonprofit organization that encourages economic
independence for disadvantaged women.
The Dress for Success Baltimore chapter
began in 2007 and was created to empower women by providing professional
attire, support networks, and career development tools to help disadvantage
women in the region thrive in their professional and personal lives.
The
chapter helps clients find jobs and improve their employment options. The group
also provides each Dress for Success Baltimore client with a suit for her first
job interview as well as a second suit when she finds work.
