Yorrelle’s neo-soul songs about harmony, God’s love and “mocha-choca” goodness will add an extra burst of inspirational sass next week at The Pink Event™ (March 3).
Yorrelle—who says she’s "meant to sing and meant to inspire"—will perform in the middle of The Pink Event, a one day, women-focused expo held at the Holiday Inn in Laurel, Md. She’ll perform a select set of favorite songs from her first release, “Feels Like Love.”
"I want people to hear my powerful voice and know that there is a God out there that loves them,” says Yorrelle, an Augusta , Ga. , native who now lives in Washington metropolitan area. "The Pink Event is not only a worthy cause, but a wonderful opportunity to connect with other inspired and like-minded women,” adds Paul, who currently is working on her second album.
The Pink Event Founder Tamika Josephs-Smith calls Yorrelle’s music a satisfying blend of R&B, jazz and new soul sounds. “Yorrelle’s uplifting messages, melodious voice and bubbly nature is exactly what we want to offer event attendees,” Josephs-Smith says. “She’s going to turbo-charge our souls, putting us in the right mood for the day.”
The Pink Event—which features more than 25 niche vendors tailored to women and a full lineup of motivational speakers—will equally donate 65 percent of ticket sales to the Maryland Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® and the House of Ruth Maryland. Learn more about the event and buy early tickets for $15 each ($20 the day of the event) at www.thepinkevent.net.
