If you signed up to volunteer, we first of all want to thank you. Pulling off an amazing expo like the Pink Event requires work from many entrepreneurial and creative women (and men) who have a common goal: celebrating women-owned businesses and promoting breast cancer awareness in a fun environment that offers shopping, mini-inspirational sessions, live DJ, and so much more.
Second, we need you to attend at least one of our mandatory volunteer meetings happening this week. Here are the details:
Our meetings will be offered twice at Diamond Event Services, LLC, (8160 Maple Lawn Boulevard, Suite 200, Fulton, MD 20759):
- Thursday, February 27, 2014 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Saturday, March 1, 2014 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
As a reminder, here are the requirements we have of our volunteers:
- Pre-register here to reserve your time slot.
- Be at least 18 years old and have your own reliable transportation.
- Carry out your three consecutive volunteer hours during the event day for the time slot you select.
- Arrive 10 minutes before your shift.
- Attend at least one of two mandatory volunteer meetings to get directions on your duties for the day of the event.
By offering your services to help the Pink Event team, we'll be sure your volunteer hours are verified toward any community service you are doing. And volunteering a few hours guarantees you free admission to the entire event. Find more details here.
