Pink Event Creator Tamika Josephs-Smith Explains What is Was Like to Launch The Ultimate Women's Day Out!

Now that we're in the fifth year of a popular and growing women-focused expo, what was it like to first launch The Pink Event®? That's what "Tea with Mali" host Mali Phonpadith wanted to know about Tamika and the #ultimatewomen she was setting out to serve. 

"It was definitely an experience," Tamika says in a nearly hour-long interview that touched on a number of subjects for aspiring female entrepreneurs. "I was looking to do an event that helped people...I being a small, very very new business owner looked at how can I create an event that would support someone like me."

From those ambitious but small beginnings, The Pink Event® 2015 (March 8, 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.) has grown into a full-day at the larger event space of the  BWI Airport Marriott in Linthicum.
