We're a few days from the start of October and National Breast Cancer Awareness month and already former "Good Morning America" anchor Joan Lunden
has already increased awareness, according
to NBC Washington.
Lunden, who was
diagnosed with an aggressive breast cancer in June, removed her wig to
spotlight a beautifully bald head on the cover of People's Oct. 6 issue. She
decided to do the photo shoot and cover to give other breast cancer survivors
