You Have to See What These Ladies Did for Their Friend with Breast Cancer!

We're closing out March and the last few weeks of National Women's History month. And The Pink Event staff is pretty sure the women in this video will always be remembered by their friend who has breast cancer.
According to the video above, "In February 2014, one of Gerdi McKenna's friends wrote an email requesting a photoshoot for all her friends as [Gerdi] was diagnosed with breast cancer a few months before...and this is what happened."
You have to see it to believe how amazing women with purpose can be! And check out the local breast cancer charities that The Pink Event has supported.

It's Finally Here! The Pink Event® 2013 Amazes Tomorrow!

The Pink Event® is back and offering even more fun for ladies in the Baltimore-Washington area as the annual women-focused expo comes to the DoubleTree by Hilton in Columbia, Md., tomorrow (March 10; 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.).
Celebrating Women’s History Month, The Pink Event features women-owned businesses that will offer a unique shopping experience—from customized boutique clothing and glamorous jewelry to natural hair services and organic bath products.
Throughout the day, attendees can leisurely shop while enjoying free refreshments and live DJ music. In addition to being eligible for great door prizes, attendees also will hear great tips on creating a healthier lifestyle from Delayna Keller-Watkins (RN, BSN), and looking great from makeup guru Misha Zabrina Sanders.

It's been three days since Hurricane Sandy blew through the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, and our hearts go out to all who died or suffered injuries, loss of property and other calamities from this storm. Maryland Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® Volunteers on Hand at The Pink Event 2012™
The Pink Event 2012™ is excited to announce that the Maryland Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® volunteers Belinda Prattis and Emily Mariner will be at the women's expo to talk about the importance of breast cancer awareness.
The volunteers will be on hand at The Pink Event—which will be held on March 3, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Holiday Inn-Laurel West—to talk about the organization’s efforts in providing education, screening, treatments and support services to women, men and families with breast cancer. Komen Maryland is one of two charities that will equally receive 65 percent of ticket sales from The Pink Event.
"The Maryland Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure was honored when asked by The Pink Event to be a charity partner," says Robin Prothro, Executive Director of KomenMaryland , headquartered in Towson . "Participating in this event allows us to reach additional women to encourage them to get screened and be cognizant of their breast health."

Vanessa Elam to Teach Beauty Tips at The Pink Event® 2012
Lifestyle Coach and Image Consultant Vanessa Elam will lend her expertise to help women look 10 years younger in 10 minutes as part of mini-inspirational sessions at the upcoming 2012 Pink Event®.

We are in the process of selecting our benefiting charities for our 2012
event! For our 2nd year we decided to involve our VIPs! Yep, you guessed it
our Very Important Participants, supporters like you!
The Pink Event is a women-focused event (after all that is what the PINK in The Pink Event stands for, WOMEN). Therefore,
