It's Finally Here! The Pink Event® 2013 Amazes Tomorrow!

The Pink Event® is back and offering even more fun for ladies in the Baltimore-Washington area as the annual women-focused expo comes to the DoubleTree by Hilton in Columbia, Md., tomorrow (March 10; 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.).

Celebrating Women’s History Month, The Pink Event features women-owned businesses that will offer a unique shopping experience—from customized boutique clothing and glamorous jewelry to natural hair services and organic bath products.

Throughout the day, attendees can leisurely shop while enjoying free refreshments and live DJ music. In addition to being eligible for great door prizes, attendees also will hear great tips on creating a healthier lifestyle from Delayna Keller-Watkins (RN, BSN), and looking great from makeup guru Misha Zabrina Sanders.

And attendees will help promote breast cancer awareness just by showing up. A portion of the event proceeds will go to The Pink Event’s official charity partner, the Tigerlily Foundation, as part of the expo’s mission to bring awareness to breast cancer and domestic violence.

Headquartered in Reston, Va., Tigerlily Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating, advocating for, and providing hands-on services and support to young women (ages 15 to 40) who are affected by breast cancer.

Tigerlily Foundation Founder Maimah Karmo
will be at The Pink Event to share her experiences as a breast cancer survivor. She also will speak about her new book, “Fearless: Awakening to My Life’s Purpose through Breast Cancer,” with attendees during an exclusive book signing at the expo.

Tigerlily Foundation is a community partner with
For 3 Sisters, a breast cancer awareness organization featuring “The Pink Fireman” (who also will be at The Pink Event).  Dubbed “The Pink Fireman” for his signature pink gear, Bethesda firefighter Marshall Moneymaker will wear his uniform to honor three sisters whom he lost to breast cancer: Vicky, Valessa, and Penny.

Be sure to get to the event early to secure a limited-supply “swag bag.” The first 75 attendees receive these bags, filled with gift certificates, coupons, and other goodies from event sponsors.

Several main sponsors and partners for The Pink Event include DoubleTree by Hilton, The Umbrella Syndicate, and Pixalated Photobooth.  Attendees can get a sneak peek here or learn more at www.thepinkevent.net. Also, be sure to follow The Pink Event on Twitter (@ThePinkEvent) and Facebook.
