House of Ruth Maryland Volunteers Will Talk about Efforts at The Pink Event™

The Pink Event 2012 is excited to announce that Adrian Fauntleroy and Kristine Olaes from the House of Ruth Maryland will be at the one-day women's expo (March 3, Holiday Inn--Laurel West) to discuss the domestic violence shelter's efforts.

House of Ruth Maryland is one of two charities that will equally receive 65 percent of ticket sale proceeds from the expo, which features a plethora of niche vendors, inspirational speakers and fun door prizes.

"We hope that through this event, more women will be aware of the services that we provide, what domestic violence really is, and how to get help if they or someone they know needs it," says Executive Director Sandi Timmins of the Baltimore-based leading domestic violence organization. The nonprofit organization provides a continuum of services for victims of domestic violence and their families, including a 24-hour hotline, emergency shelter, legal services, counseling, abuser intervention, children's services and community education.

House of Ruth volunteers will be joined by volunteers from the Maryland Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® to talk about the importance of breast cancer and domestic violence awareness. Learn more about all of the great things happening at The Pink Event at www.thepinkevent.net.
