Ladies, Can We Talk about the Shopping?!

If you're like most of us gals in the Washington/Baltimore area, you work hard and enjoy those blessed (but sparse) times when you can indulge and pamper yourself. And if shopping amongst unique and fun products and services tailored to women is your forte, we have the perfect event for you!

The Pink Event 2012 promises to deliver a high-caliber lineup of vendors who know what it means to treat a lady right. So let's examine what you'll see at the expo on March 3 (11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Holiday Inn-Laurel West):

Access E-File: We can't help but notice that April 15 is right around the corner after the Pink Event. Good thing E-File will be on hand to talk about small business options it has for handling your tax and filing needs.

Alicia's Boutique: Let's face it: Class and style matter for most ladies. That's why Alicia will bring her high-class selection of clothes and shoes for Pink Event attendees.

Avon: Area representative Danielle Little will have the latest Avon accessories, beauty, bath and home products (along with catalogs) on hand for you to sample and peruse.

AXA Advisors: Even though The Pink Event is focused very much on the here-and-now of the one-day expo, we're also mindful that women need a long-term plan for important issues like retirement. That's why members from AXA Advisors will be on hand to discuss their numerous financial products for setting up a secure future.

Beijo Bags: Consultant Louann Brooks will work with you to find handbags that are more than just exquisite arm candy. She'll help you find the bag that fits your lifestyle.

Charmed Boutique, LLC: Fun, flirty blouses, bottoms, dresses, and accessories await you at this vendor stop. Charmed Boutique owner Savannah Powell will bring a selection of distinctive outfits with affordable prices.

Cookie Lee Fine Fashion Jewelry: There's no sweet munchies involved here, but Cookie Lee does market a fine line of fashionable jewelry. Representative Renee Drakes will showcase the latest to Pink Event attendees.

Eclectic Palette: Richmond, Va-based artist Judith Wansley will show off her fine paintings and prints. Her works range from cartoons on paper to large oil paintings on canvas. She has also done landscapes, portraits and inspirational settings.

Future Royalty, LLC: Just because you couldn't attend Kate and William's royal wedding doesn't mean you can't get your regal on! Future Royalty's line of natural and organic beauty and bath products help you capture the motherland beauty and express your royal essence.

It Works!: We all have love handles we hate! Consultant Ashley Hardester offers new tools for your weight-loss goals with her It Works! body wraps and supplements.

Jaha Hair Studio: Empowered women typically look the part. And Jaha helps African-American women shine with full services and natural hair products that are the highest quality.

Jennifer Lucy: Be inspired by a lady who has made it her business helping others overcome life's obstacles. Stop by Jennifer Lucy Tyler's booth to get her new book, "Dried Tears: A Woman's Guide to Overcoming," and get it autographed by the amazing author.

Natasha's Just Brittle: As the website says, this is not your ordinary brittle. Slowly cooked with fresh ingredients, Natasha's brittle comes in traditional flavors, vegan favorites and seasonal savors.

Norwood Boutique: This unique women's boutique (providing books, health products and specialty gifts) says it provides products for the mind, body and spirit. We'll take that combo!

Prince George's County Department of Social Services: Ever thought about adoption or foster care? There's a whole lot you can offer to some of the state's neediest children. You'll learn more about great opportunities from department representative Lisa Robertson.

Reenie's Rhymes: Poet Angela J. Ramey will lay down the rhyme and other literary excellence at her booth. She'll be selling books, bookmarks, framed art and other printed media.

Scentsy: Representative ReCe Joyner (Wilson) has a full variety of safe, wickless scented candles. Along with a line of designer candle warmers, this is your fragrant solution to safety hazards of traditional candles.

Slumber Parties: Consultant Carmiece T. Ahmad knows how to spice up your love life. She'll update shoppers on the latest romance enhancement and pampering products.

Tastee Sweets: We know some women don't like sweets, but we can't say we'd ever fall in that category. And with an authentic Jamaican baker displaying her culinary treats, we're glad to cheat on our diet (just this once)!

The Carlton Smith Music Group: Good shopping and fun requires good music. That's why we're thankful DJ Mike Smith will be on hand to keep you rocking and soul-shaking as you work the Pink Event ballroom.

The MPM: Feeling eclectic and funky? Look no further than The Mass Production Massacre. We promise the products are much cuter than the name! From vibrant dangley earrings to natural-toned bracelets, this shop's accessories offer a unique look.

The Pearl Modern Spa & Boutique: What is a pampering event without a luxurious day spa on hand? Luckily, you don't have to find out since we have a premiere day spa showing off amazing ways to de-stress!

Traci Lynn Fashion Jewelry: Get ready for the Traci Lynn experience! She will accessorize you in ways that will make you feel runway-ready. With a keen eye for style and a line of exquisite jewelry pieces, you will want to see this bling!

Are you excited yet? We thought so. Get your tickets today for the early-bird price of just $15 each.
