Tiffany Moody Brings Makeovers to The Pink Event™ 2012

Makeup artist Tiffany Moody loves helping women look their best—and she’ll help ladies understand how to achieve this during a mini-inspirational session at The Pink Event (March 3), a one-day, women-focused expo held at the Holiday Inn in Laurel, Md.

Moody—a makeup artist for The Pearl Spa in Fulton, Md.—is one of six local experts speaking at The Pink Event’s full line-up of women-focused sessions, covering topics from image makeovers to understanding domestic violence.

One makeup myth Moody says she’s ready to challenge is the rule that certain skin tones have limited color palettes. “I think a lot of women are afraid of colors. But that’s mainly because they don’t know how to apply their makeup tools,” says Moody, who applies makeup to celebrity clients like Radio One owner Cathy Hughes.

“There are certain rules to make a color work for you, but I want to show ladies they can pretty much have any look they want,” she adds, noting she’ll also highlight common makeup mistakes and fixes during her presentation.

“The Pink Event’s goal is helping women become empowered,” says The Pink Event Founder Tamika Josephs-Smith. “Feeling beautiful is an important aspect of that goal, and I know Tiffany’s session will add value by teaching women how they can best accentuate their naturally given features.”

The Pink Event, which features local vendors tailored to female shoppers, promotes breast cancer and domestic violence awareness by donating 65 percent of its ticket sales to the Maryland Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® and the House of Ruth Maryland. Tickets are available now for $15 each ($20 on the day of the event).
