Based in Reston, Va., Tigerlily Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating, advocating for, and proving hands-on services and support to young women (ages 15 to 40) who are affected by breast cancer. Tigerlily Foundation Founder Maimah Karmo will be at The Pink Event to speak about her experience as a breast cancer survivor as well as share her new book, interacting with attendees during an exclusive book signing.
“We are so excited to support Tigerlily Foundation and have Maimah speak at our upcoming event,” says The Pink Event Founder Tamika Josephs-Smith. “Her organization is changing the landscape for young women who face breast cancer.”
In its third year, The Pink Event serves as the ultimate girls’ day out, featuring women-focused exhibitors that offer unique shopping, from customized boutique clothing and glamorous jewelry to natural hair products. The first 75 attendees receive a “swag bag” filled with gift certificates, coupons, and other goodies.
