Jennifer Lucy Tyler to Speak at The Pink Event® 2012

Motivational author and speaker Jennifer Lucy Tyler knows a thing or two about overcoming significant life challenges like abuse, abortion, low-esteem and emotional pain. That’s why The Pink Event®, a premiere women-focused expo, is excited to announce Tyler as part of its speaker line-up.

The Pink Event—which will be held March 3, 2012 at the Holiday Inn in Laurel, Md.—will have a full schedule of women-oriented sessions from top local experts. They’ll address topics ranging from understanding domestic violence and personal financing to quick cosmetic pick-me-ups.

Tyler will share personal experiences as captured in her autobiography, “Dried Tears, A Woman’s Guide to Overcoming,” which details her spiritual inspirations in dealing with hardships.  “My heart’s desire is to see women empowered and growing,” Tyler says. “The Pink Event does this while raising awareness about issues that women readily identify with.”

The Pink Event will focus on breast cancer and domestic violence awareness by donating 65 percent of its ticket sales to the Maryland Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® and the House of Ruth Maryland.

The Pink Event Founder Tamika Josephs-Smith calls Tyler a natural fit as an Expo speaker because of her indomitable spirit. “Jennifer has an amazing talent of sharing personal pain and transforming it into profound and resilient strategies any woman can use,” says Josephs-Smith. “She’s the epitome of women we’re excited to showcase at The Pink Event.”

A motivational speaker since 2006, Tyler is a licensed minister at the Spirit of Faith Christian Center Church in Temple Hills, Md. She also is a Managing Partner, along with her husband Jeffrey Tyler, of Tyler Enterprises Group, LLC, a company that specializes in virtual assistance to entrepreneurs and women. “My plan is instill hope and stir up the gifts that we are all blessed with,” Tyler adds. “When I’m finished speaking, every woman should know that she is an Overcomer!”
