The Pink Event® 2014 Speaker Spotlight: Kellee Southern Challenges Women to Fully Embrace Their Life Journey

With her bubbly smile and calm voice, Kellee Southern is a woman who puts others at ease. But you wouldn’t tell from her initial modesty that you have a resilient fighter in your midst. Kellee’s world was turned upside down nearly a year ago when the wife and mother of three found out she had breast cancer.

 

“This year of treatment has taught me the value of life, people, God, and embracing your journey, no matter what it is,” says Kellee who will spread her message of enthusiasm and perseverance as a speaker at The Pink Event^® 2014 (March 9, 2014, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.). 

Her talk, aptly titled “Embrace Your Journey,” will hit on three essential points that Kellee follows daily:

1.     Be real to your feelings.

2.     Surround yourself with supportive people.

3.     Never lose hope or faith.

“I want to encourage people that no matter what you’re going through that faith and being true to yourself will bring you through even the roughest of times,” she says, admitting that she has had many rough recovery days.
